Educate.
Support.
Talk.

Believe Organ Donor Support was set up in December 2015 by Anna Louise Bates, following the passing of her husband Stuey and son Fraser Bear, whose organs and tissues were donated and went on to save at least 4 lives.

Now joined with a team of trustees from the medical and professional industries, we continue to believe that we can make a difference by educating and supporting all those affected by organ donation. Overriding all of this is the need to remove the taboo of discussing the subject.

We work together with the NHS, Welsh and UK Governments and other charities to advance our objectives.

In 2018, with the help of Mike Young, the creator of ‘Super Ted’, Believe created a short animation, aimed at helping children to understand organ donation and gently encourage the conversation with their families.

The film has gone on to reach 8 million people globally, winning an award at the Charity Film Awards in 2019 – a huge moment for us. Read more about the film here or watch it below…

“I founded the charity to help educate and support people in relation to organ donation with the overriding objective of removing organ donation as a taboo subject. I truly believe that together we can continue to make a difference.”
